Hiking Monte San Antón: The Mountain Trail That Starts at Your Front Door

Five minutes from your villa, one of Málaga's best hikes begins. Here's what to expect on the trail up Monte San Antón - and why guests keep saying it's an unexpected highlight of their stay.

A Luxury Villa with a Hiking Trail Attached

Most people book a luxury villa in Málaga for the pools, the privacy, and the warm southern light. What surprises guests at Villas Pinares de San Antón is what's just beyond the gate: the start of a proper mountain trail, directly accessible on foot, climbing through pine forest to one of the best viewpoints in the province.

Monte San Antón rises to 623 metres above Málaga's eastern edge. The mountain gives the neighbourhood - and our estate - its name. From the summit, on a clear day, you can see across the Bay of Málaga, east along the Costa del Sol, and inland toward the Montes de Málaga Natural Park. It is the kind of view that makes you feel you have genuinely earned your evening glass of wine.

"We didn't expect to be hiking. We came for the pool. But that morning trail became the thing we talked about most when we got home."

Getting There
